Important Information on Proposed UC Pension & Retirement Changes

by David McIntosh January 17, 2016 No Comments

Hello SBFA Members,

Below are some informational links regarding informational updates on the changes to UC pension and retirement funds as proposed by the UC Regents-appointed task force.

The Pension Taskforce Napolitano appointed to come up with options has now reported. Here is a link to the full “Retirement Options Task Force Report to the President.”

The Chair and Vice-Chair of the system wide Senate have also produced a guide to reviewing the recommendations of the Taskforce. That guide can be found here.

These are long and complex documents.  Michael Meranze has made an early attempt to understand some of this at the UCLA Facutly Association website, which can be found here.
We will be posting more info on and responses to these task force recommendations on this website in the near future.
Best wishes,
UCSB FA Executive Board
